It is also possible that it"might" have been listed under the "Sulphur" district ... I don't have my maps near me at present and memory fails me as to the district lines. The Sulphur district ran north from the Valliant/Wright City areas up towards and into the mountains in the western part of the county. I don't know if Pickens was the northern aspect of "Sulphur" or the western aspect of "Mountain" ... but a search of census records for both should reveal what you need. (I'd try "Mountain" first)
