Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SaB.2ACI/1612.2 Message Board Post: In as far as the 1920 and 1930 census are concerned, the Pickens area would have appeared under the "Mountain" census district for McCurtain County. It is also possible that it"might" have been listed under the "Sulphur" district ... I don't have my maps near me at present and memory fails me as to the district lines. The Sulphur district ran north from the Valliant/Wright City areas up towards and into the mountains in the western part of the county. I don't know if Pickens was the northern aspect of "Sulphur" or the western aspect of "Mountain" ... but a search of census records for both should reveal what you need. (I'd try "Mountain" first)
