Mr. Dewett, 54, of Medford, died Saturday, May 8, 2004. He was born May 22, 1949 in Valiant, OK. On July 2, 1981 in Lubbock, TX he married Marie A. Noble, who survives. Mr. Dewett had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1972, moving here from Levelland, TX., where he was a roughneck in the West Texas oil fields. He also worked at the Eagle Point School District in the maintenance department. His last employment was with Bear Creek Corp. Mr. Dewett enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He had served with the US Marine Corps in Vietnam, where he received a Purple Heart. Survivors in addition to his wife, include: two sons, Charles A. Dewett of Redding, CA; Eric Noble of Medford; three daughters, Stephanie Brook Dewett of Medford, Heather Raquel Green of CA, Erica McDaniel of Medford; two brothers, F. T. Dewett & Anna, Durant of OK, Jack R. Dewett & Verba Dell of Gold Hill; three sisters, Marie Fulton and Tommie Dewett both of Medford, Kathy Long of Levelland, TX; nine grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Brittany, Nicholas, Nicole, Destiny, Kyla, Wyatt and Emily. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Billy Ray and Lewis Lee Dewett and a sister, Susie Dewett. Arrangements by: Memory Gardens Mortuary.
