Hi Terry, You posting to OKMCCURT-L@rootsweb.com caught my eye and I am also interested in the HUNKAPILLER surname in McCurtain County, OK. The only information I have is regarding the marriage of Mamie Hunkapiller/Hunkapillar to Dewey Claborn. The marriage would have taken place in the 1930s, most likely prior to 1936. As I understand it, the marriage ended in divorce. I do not think there were any children from this marriage. Mr. Claborn is now deceased but in the times I spoke with him about Mamie, he had such fond memories of her. I would love to know more about this lady and if at all possible learn when and exactly where they were married. Mr. Claborn told me that they had lived at Glover. At this time, my home computer is dead (thankfully it was still under warranty) and I am checking messages from work. So, please don't worry if you don't hear from me for a day or two. My new computer is supposed to arrive this coming week and I hope to be back online by next weekend.
