Vida was my grandfather's sister. They were the children of Jesse Nelms and Ruth Mae Brandon Smith. Ace and Vida lived in Valliant, OK when my grandfather died in 1970. I called and talked to a grandduaghter of Vida's. I have come to a total brick wall in determining the parents of Jesse Nelms Smith and I am hoping that some of the descendants can fill in some gaps.
