Hi, I am not surprised to hear there were two Church of Christ preachers in the family. I am certain that your Reese line hooks in with the Reeses, Jones, Womacks, Crawfords, Watsons, Floyds, Campbells, Bacon, etc (there are about 14 surnames) who settled near Corinth Arkansas in the 1850's. Many lived in and around Center Point. They were known by some as Campbellites and were "sect" of the Church of Christ. Almost all these above surnames you will find associated with the Church of Christ in Howard and Pike Co. AR. I looked for your Thomas Jefferson Reese in my database but could not find him. If you know Thomas Jefferson's father's name I might be able to give you more info. email me at [email protected] if you would like a copy of the "Corinth" database I have put together (so far only those related to my Watson and Westbrook line) Tammy Judy Huber wrote: > Posted on: McCurtain County, Ok Query Forum > Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/McCurtain/1236 > > Surname: Reese > ------------------------- > > Hi Fred: > > My Mom is visiting me from CA. and is 83 yrs. old.
