List, please forgive me for going this route to locate people. But I'm not having any luck in the 'normal' routes. I'm trying to get info on Shorty Roberts in the Garvin and Valliant area during 1930/1940's ?. I'd like his given name and names of any connected family members. I believe at one time he was connected to the Whitaker Family, but not really certain. Did he have a store located in the area somewhere too? Any information will be appreciated. I have spent the morning reading Judy's articles and feel that anyone would definitely benefit from some of them. http://www.thecitizennews.com/finding%20your%20folks/fyf2004/fyf040723.htm Judy Fowler Kilgore has written a great article on how to "write a query". Jane Foley
Brady, according to the info I have in my family tree, Carolyn Sue and Donald are not the children of Fred and Dona. Their birthdates are not consistent with the parents ages. I have Donald listed as a child of R. A. Piper and Cordia Middaugh. R. A. is listed as the son of Fred and Dona. I don't have Carolyn Sue listed anywhere though. ----- Original Message ----- From: <bradyvfuller@classicnet.net> To: <OKMCCURT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 31, 2004 7:01 PM Subject: [OKMCCURT] Re: Piper Family > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SaB.2ACI/1623.2 > > Message Board Post: > > Hello. Elaine, I was in the Broken Bow library a couple of years ago. At that time Obit books for Forest Hill and Wheelock were being compiled. Do you know if these books have been completed and are for sale yet? If so, availability and price? I know the Forest Hill listing has been put online, but I'd still like a copy of the book, I think....
