Info I have says that Millerton was established in 1906 by Benedick Miller. Not sure how he got there as he spent most of his years in Kansas and died in Paola, Kansas in 1918. Your Great Grandmother (Benedick's wife) Mary ( Glasner) Miller was a sister of my Great Grandfather, Daniel Glasner. I have been chasing Glasner descendents for some time and only recently started on the Miller line. I have quite a bit of info on the Glasner Family. I called the oldest funeral home in Idabel they said they had a fire in 1954-7, no records. They lived at Nanih Chito, Oklahoma in McCurtain County. Rufus Hudson was born 8-28-1880 and died 1-1-1945, he was married to Sallie McCoy Hudson they are near Smithville at Nanih Chito cemetary. They have one living son, my son's grandfather Lloyd Hudson. Rufus' roll no. is 5938, Sallies' was 2001. Any one have any more personal info. Thank you so much in advance..

    3. Hi, Julia. The marriage records for the Choctaw Nation are maintained at the Federal Courthouse in Muskogee, OK. Some one might be able to look through an index of all the marriage books, but it would be hard without the dates. Check the Muskogee County GenWeb site for information. Good luck. Meek & Nona Teems, they lived in Idabel in 1915. they had a daughter, Lola Meek b. 7 April 1915 and she married a Barnett but I don't know where or when. According to Lola's SS application, she lived in Tulare CA in 1941, Her mother, Nona Teems Meek b. 5-19-1888 in AL. d. in Alameda CA. 1-29-1956 Can't seem to locate them on the 1920 census for McCurtain or on the soundex. My father is Burnis Wayne Campbell, born Aug. 25, 1933 in McCurtain County, near Wright City. His father was Brock B. Campbell, married to Laura Lee Stephens. I believe they were married in Spencerville. Brock is buried in Spencerville cemetery, Laura buried in Sawyer cemetery. They raised their family in the wilderness area near Wright City. Brock farmed on this land. Dad said they were "squatters" on this land, then Brock purchased land in Wright City when my dad started high school. My Aunt Zane Roberts and her husband Clarence bought this land from her father, and still lives on it today. The kids - Jimmie, Sarah, Billie, Opal, Bobbye, Burnis and Zane (dad is the only male), went to school at the old Alikchi school house which now rents out to hunters. Brock's father was William G. Campbell, married to Sarah Jane "Sallie" (Brock?). Grandma "Peggy", Laura Lee Stephens Campbell was born 08/09/1894 and died 04/24/1981. Her father was V. (Valentine?) T. Stephens - 01/18/1853 to 06/26/1917 (not sure on these dates). Grandma's mother was Laura E. Stephens - 1860 to Nov. 1906. She had brothers Walter W. Stephens and Garvin V. Stephens, sister Ella M. Stephens Brannan (that I know of). Brock Campbell was born 01/22/1893 and died 09/28/1958, the year before I was born. I believe he was born in Naples, TX and grew up in Spencerville. He had sisters Willie Campbell Allen and Thelma H. Campbell Scott that I know of. Brock B. Campbell served in WWI, CPL 358 Infantry 90 Div. Thank you. Linda Campbell Snowden
