Wayne, My Grandmother was also born in Tom, Ok. and she did not have a birth certificate and didn't apply for a delayed cetificate. If your Grandmother didn't apply for a delayed certificate she probably won't have a birth certificate because at that time they weren't registering births. Sherry

I found a David Preston Balisle, who was married to a Nora Mae Nash I think they lived at Eagletown, okla in McCurtain co. Nora mae Nash's mother was Myrtle Roth. This Myrtle Roth is my g-aunt on my mothers side, who was Luceal Pate. Daughter of Augusta (Gus,or Tootie) Pate. If this Balisle is your grandfather he worked with my grandfather Pate around the Broken Bow area in the loging business. My grandfather referred to him as (Fat) Balisle.
