Hi, I'm new to the list and I'm trying to fill in some blanks. Is there anyone out there that has a John Gilbert Harris who married Mary E. Ward in their line? I heard that John's father (Lorenzo) buried some of his family in Tom, McCurtain, OK. John's mother was Elizabeth Pitchlynn who was 1/4 Choctaw. It's really hard to say, but based on where they originated and where the children were born, Indian Territory would be a good place to look. That being said, though, Lille was from AR. So heare are my thoughts on palces to look. I would try the IT first. Failing that, I'd have a look at Sevier County, AR and Red River, Lamar, maybe Bowie County, TX.
