Mr. Qualls has been ill for sometime and the cause of his illness was not known. He was 67 years of age. All of his children were at the bedside when death came except two daughters, Mesdames Stella Adkins, Sulphur Rock ,Ark., and Mrs. Monta Dykes, of Sweetwater, Texas. He is survived by three sons, Mil- ard,Frank and Henry Qualls of this city, and three daughters, Sarah Caldwell of this city, Stella Adkins, Sulphur Rock, Ark., and Monta Dykes of Sweetwater,Texas, also a step-son Sam Minikin, of this place. Funeral services will be held Wed- nesday at 2 p.m., at the Forest Hill cemetery where interment will follow.

Hi, I am searching for descendants of, and information about, a Robert Reed family who lived in McCurtain County. In the 1920 McCurtain County census, Robert Reed was 47. His wife, Lola, was 36. Their children were Ethel, 13; Lutie, 11; Fay, 9; George, 7; Alice, 2; and Addie, 1. Robert may have been Lola's second husband. I believe that this Robert Reed MAY be buried at Valliant in an unmarked grave. I don't know where any of the other members of this family are buried. Looking for any information on the Roath and Payne(Paine) families of McCurtain County. Alvin Otto Roath married Stella Payne/Paine. Marriage date and place unknown. They lived Southeast of Broken Bow in the1930s and 1940s. They had the following children: Ruby, Alford, Ellis, Thurston, Lloyd, Edith and Dorethia. These names may not be in order of birth.
