Posted on: Major County, Ok Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Major/10433 Surname: BAGGS ------------------------- I found Caleb Baggs buried at Ames Cemetery, Major Co., OK born 12-20-1835, died 3-12-1899. He is the only Baggs buried in Major Co. I could not find an obituary in the newspaper and there is no reference to BAGGS in the Gloss Mountain, Major County History Book. I checked the index to our Genealogical Society newsletter, and did not find BAGGS mentioned. Did Mary Ann remarry? If so, maybe we could find her under a new married name. You might check Garfield Co. & Kingfisher Co. as Ames is in the southeast corner of Major Co. and maybe they are in bordering counties. Let us know if we can be of any more assistance.
