Below is a brief summary from page 195 of "Gloss Mountain Country", produced by the Major County Historical Society in 1977. The article was written by Dave Laubhan about his parents, but does NOT mention to whom he and his six siblings married. Parents were Conrad (born in Russia), and Matilda Jantzen (parents, the John Jantzens from Russia). Conrad and Matilda came to Ames in 1921; at that time they had five sons, Gus, Dave, Carl, Ernie and Victor. Son Raymond and daughter Pauline were born after they moved to Ames. It is likely that some of their children are living in the Ames area or at least in Oklahoma.
