Jim & Marla, The Fairview City Library has a few Ames newspapers on microfilm - I'm not sure how many papers or the dates. The Oklahoma Historical Society has an excellent collection of state papers and I'm sure they would have Ames. According to Fred Dittmars (I'm sorry if the spelling is incorrect) of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society, you can access them at: http://www.ok-history.mus.ok.us/ Then click on Newspapers, then Index, then a list of counties will come up and click on Major Co.
