    3. Jean, The 1977 History of Major County, OK, "Gloss Mountain Country", does not have an index. However, I looked through the family history sections, which are listed alphabetically and did not find a Pixler family. If your family is definitely listed in the "1909" Atlas of Woods County, then they would not be in Major County, since Major County was formed at statehood in 1907. If you are referring to the "1906" Atlas of Woods County, YES, the area that became Major County was included in Woods County.
