Funderal services for James Edward Hembree will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o clock withe the Rev. W.S. Lindsey of Ardmore officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Rose Xella Cringer of the Marietta Assembly of God Church. The place of the service had not been decided upon Thrusday afternoon. Mr. Hembree died wednesday night at his home at Oswalt following a lengthy illness. He was born June 16, 1877, in Mississippi and on June 16, 1905 he ws married to Miss Willie White. They were parent of 11 children, 10 of whom survive. Mr. Hembree had lived in the oswalt community for many years and was a well known Love County farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Hembree: four daughters, Mr.s Mary Phillips of Santa Paula, Calif. Mrs Vida Jackson of Owsalt, Mrs. Hettie Nelson of Popular, Calif. and Mrs. Laura (polly) Grubbs Of ft worth, six sons Lonnie, william, george, james, j w, and Odie Hembree all of oswalt, and one brother Wright Hembree of McCory Arkansas' 17 grandchildren 6 great grand children, and three neices. Goodrich Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements and the following have been asked to serve as pall bearers; Charlie and ocie Tucker, Byrd Joshon, Edgar wilson Elvin and jm Jackson Hi this is my grand father, I didnt get the chance to ever met him and well didnt get a chance to met his children other then my dad J W hembree, which passed away when i was 6, So I remember Odie, and Mutt, and Laura pretty good, but only remember seeing Diamont, and only read of Jim, Im looking up my family tree, and wanted to find out more about my uncle and nieces, and grand mother willie, all i know about her has her sister Moillie white married a randolph: I know my cousin jerry, charles, betty, donna , ann, pretty good, i would like to know the rest of my cousin and what kind of life there dad or mom lived and where they lived story there dad and mom told of there young life, good or bad time, just some knowleage of my family would be nice, I may not of had living grand parent but dont mean i cant learn about them, I only know that James and wille was married 1905, and cant get there marriage lisence because oklahoma wasnt a state and some other mess, any way i go to the library and alot of the paper are missing so i cant find the marrage annocement in the love county paper, and i was wondering if they moved here after they married? I would just if nothing else met some of my family and get to know them. thank you sandy hembree
