Hallum, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ with Floyd Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Leon Cemetery under the direction of Anderson - Kennedy Funeral Home. Born to Oscar and Jessie Taylor Hallum Jan. 1, 1905, in Wise County, Texas, Hallum died today in the local hospital. A resident of this county most of his life, he worked in construction and as a farmer before he retired. He married Fanny May Chambers Nov. 8, 1924, at Gainsville, Texas, and was a member of the Church of Christ. His wife preceeded him in death Sept. 11, 1984. Survivors include a son, Thurman; two daughters, Marie Reed and Patricia Bartlett; and brother, Dale, all of Marietta; a sister, Ethel Hambrick, Burneyville; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Nephews will serve as beares. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. ( I do not no what paper this obit came from or the date.
