Tony Caro officiating. Mr. Jeane was born December 16, 1973, in Leesville, Louisiana, the son of Douglas LaNel and Melynda Payne Jeane. He died Thursday, January 2, 2003, near Marietta. Jeremy was raised in Louisiana and moved to Marietta in 1987. A 1992 graduate of Marietta High School, he was employed in directional boring. Jeremy loved "country relaxing" and his friends, especially his beloved dog, Boudreaux. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta. Survivors include his mother, Melynda Persons of the home; a brother, Sean Stevens of Elmore, Alabama; his girlfriend, Valerie DeFoor of Marietta; aunts and uncles, Nancy and Warren Griffin of Marietta, Kathy and Danny Chrisjohn and Paul Johnson of Burkeville, Texas; cousins, Melodye Griffin of Marietta, Doug and Mistye Barger of Marietta, Rankin and Rachel Barger of Marietta, and Sallie, Jimmy, Katie and Stormy Chrisjohn of Burkeville; and all his budz. Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Douglas LaNel Jeane; grandfather, Bill Payne; grandmother, Helen Woods; and great-grandparents, Rose and Edgar Payne. Serving as pallbearers were Kasey Navarro, Bucky Caldwell, Joseph Chapman, Blaine Caldwell, Tim Jones, Shawn Newsom, Dusty Newsom, John Holt and Jerry Clifton. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. J.T. O'Connor, Doug Barger, Rankin Barger, Rachel Barger, P.J. Johnson, Leon Brown, Al Mooreland, Cecil Holt, Stormy Chrisjohn, Johnna DeFoor and Bailey Daugherty.
