The bride is the daughter of Bill and Vickie Cox of Overbrook. She is the granddaughter of J.W. Ashley of Ardmore and the late Betty Jo Ashley, and the late E.R. Cox and Edith Mae Cox. The groom is the son of David and Mary Jacobs of Marietta. He is the grandson of David and Anna Sue Jacobs of Marietta, Dan and Brooksie White of Granbury, Texas, and the late Sidney Howard. The church was decorated with two cathedral candelabras and an arch adorned with purple wisteria and tulle. Music for the ceremony was provided by Daniel Oyler of Ardmore; Amy Crawford of Frisco, Texas; and Megan Turner of Dallas, both sorority sisters of the bride. The bride wore an organza fabric, scooped neck gown featuring an A-line with an emplire waist and a sweep train. The bodice was adorned with pearls and beadwork. Her waist-length veil was accented with pearls, and she carried a bouquet of purple hydrangea with purple and white rannaculus. Maid of honor was Melissa Williams of Sherman, Texas, sorority sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brandie Henderson of Durant, friend of the bride, and Sarah Bland of Madill, sorority sister of the bride. Each wore a Victorian lilac dress and carried a bouquet of daisies. Best man was Zack Humphrey of Durant. Groomsmen were Corey Speer of Odessa, Texas and Scott Cochran of San Antonio, Texas. Ushers and candlelighters were Kyler Jacobs of Marietta, brother of the groom, and Jesse Speer of Marietta. Attending the guest book were Carra Spigner and Tammy Blankenship of Durant, sorority sisters of the bride. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Servers included Jackie Gregory of Imperial, California, Mattie Mackey of Irving, Texas, and Monica Thornton of Bennington, sorority sisters of the bride. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Marietta High School, and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in May 2002. She is currently employed as a language arts teacher at S&S Middle School in Sadler, Texas. The groom is a 2000 graduate of Marietta High School and is currently a junior at SOSU. He is employed at Jacobs' Used Cars in Marietta. After a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the couple is at home in Durant.
