The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Harshey of Plainview. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Carl Dennis of Hagerman, New Mexico, and Mrs. Helen Harshey of Lubbock, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Willis of Marietta. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Butler of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Lavica Williams of Sand Springs, and Mr. Lee Cowherd of Lone Grove. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white organza a-line dress with rhinestone spaghetti straps. The fitted bodice was adorned with beaded Schiffili lace. The flowing skirt also had beaded Schiffili lace around the bottom of the dress and the chapel length train. Her elbow-length veil was accented with white ribbon around the bottom. She carried a trailing bouquet of white roses, gerber daisies, stephanotis and baby's breath. In keeping with the tradition, something new was her dress and necklace, something old was a penny minted in the year of her birth, something borrowed was a pearl ring, and something blue was her garter. Matron of honor was Jessica Hawkins of Amarillo, Texas. Bridesmaids were Tera McConnell of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mikhael Bucher, sister of the groom, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Barbie Grimes of Lubbock. Each wore a formal-length navy sleeveless top with an a-line skirt. They each carried a nosegay of white roses, gerber daisies, stephanotis and baby's breath. Best man was Paul Willis of Oklahoma City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Kenneth Tumblesom of Oklahoma City, Quentin Bucher, brother-in-law of the groom, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Craig Harshey, brother of the bride, of Lubbock. Musical selections were provided by Sarah Herrington, pianist and Alan and Lynda Schantz, vocalists. They sang "How Beautiful," "Surely the Presence of the Lord," and "Shine on Us." Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlor. Kaci Hill of Tulsa and Serena Cowart of Amarillo, friends of the bride, served a five tier strawberry cake decorated with silver ribbon and fresh flowers made by the bride's mother. Debora Keesee and Kandace Keesee, both of Lubbock, cousins of the groom, served German chocolate cake and coffee at the groom's table. Hostesses for the reception were Kay Lathem, Rhonda Travis, Susan Hart and Coco Riojas. The bride elect is a 1996 graduate of Dalhart High School, Dalhart, Texas. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in May 2002 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She is currently employed as a pharmacist for Albertson's in Oklahoma City. The groom is a 1996 graduate of Marietta High School. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma and is employed by Cox Communications in Oklahoma City. After a wedding trip to Estes Park and Ft. Collins, Colorado, they are at home in Oklahoma City. Pre-wedding courtesies included a bridal shower in Dalhart, hosted by Kay Lathem, Sharon Wilson, Margaret Adamson, Debra Ford, Kakie Cadenhead, Linda Marshall, Donna Beasley, Linda Cheshier, Karen Towler, Lori Felker, Rhonda Fisk, Serena Cowart, and Barbie Clugy.
