Major Michael F. Rothermel, Commander of the 410 AEW Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron of the U.S. Air Force, sent a letter to Natalie Long about her husband's work in a classified site in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In the letter, Maj. Rothermel encourages the family and assures them of his expectations to bring their soldier home safely. SSgt. Long, who attended Thackerville School, and graduated from high school at Bonham, Texas, has been in the military a number of years. He reenlisted for his third time early this year. He comes from a military family and his brother, Captain Jeffrey S. Long, serves in the Army. Long is the son of Larry Long of Thackerville and Linda Long of Dodge City, Texas.
