Tommy Higle, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Ellis was born April 22, 1921, in Horatio, Arkansas, and died April 8, 1993, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta. She was the daughter of Ben and Ethel Patton Graves. A resident of Love County most of her life, she married E. Carl Ellis May 20, 1938, in Marietta. She was a homemaker and a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Carl Ellis of the home; a son, Carl Mac Ellis of Marietta; a brother, Gaither Graves of Lakeside, California; two grandsons, Carl Mac Ellis, Jr. and Ricky Ellis; and a great-granddaughter, Ciera Beth Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana K. Ellis on April 20, 1944; and a grandson, Christopher Ellis on February 5, 1991. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
