Sanchez Sr., 80, of Marietta, was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Sister Mary Helen officiating. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, in the Chapel with Father Jim Sheridan officiating. Mr. Sanchez was born December 27, 1923, in Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Crestino and Julia Rueda Sanchez. He died Monday, May 17, 2004, in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta. Mr. Sanchez made his home in Marietta since 1981, moving here from Waco, Texas. He and Rosa Andrade were married in 1944 in Zacatecas. Mr. Sanchez was employed in the Sanitation Department of Murray Biscuit Company, Marietta, before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gainesville, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Sanchez of the home; six sons, Norberto Sanchez, Feliciano Sanchez, Cruz Sanchez, Samule Sanchez and Juan Sanchez Jr., all of Marietta, and Jose Sanchez of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Berta Gomez and Estela Sanchez, both of Marietta; a brother, Alfonzo Sanchez of Zacatecas; two sisters, Mateana Barrietos and Heradra Andrade, both of Zacatecas; 28 grand- children and 38 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sanchez was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and four brothers. Pallbearers were Chano Sanchez, Danny Andrade, Tello Andrade, Javer Sanchez, Jamie Sanchez and Manuel Sanchez.
