The Civil Service Commission is undertaking to obtain the services of as many individuals as possible with the distinct idea in mind of hiring those people who are skilled to a certain extent in a trade such as plumber, sheet metal worker, carpenter, etc. Transportation will be paid by the Government from the applicant's residence to the port of embarkation and from the port of embarkation to the Naval Yard in Hawaii. Authorized overtime will be paid at the rate of time and one-half for all work in excess of forty hours per week. The salary of 70 cents per hour will start on date of embarkation for Hawaii.
