The bride-elect is the daughter of Wilbert Romero of Broussard, Louisiana and Sybile Romero of New Iberia. Her grandparents are Emelie Lormand of Kaplan, Louisiana and the late Emar Lormand, and Louise Romero of Broussard and the late Edias Romero. She is a graduate of New Iberia Senior High, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Denver Graduate Tax School. She is currently employed as a CPA/Comptroller for TRUSSCO, Inc. in Lafayette. Mr. Handschin is the son of Dan and JaJuana Handschin of Lafayette. He is the grandson of Jay Hill of Marietta and the late James C. Hill, and the late Daniel and Augusta Handschin. He is a graduate of Shedd Academy in Mayfield, Kentucky and is employed as a Field Supervisor with TRUSSCO, Inc. in Abbeville, Louisiana.
