Mrs. Foreman was born March 2, 1937, at Ran, the daughter of Bill and Bessie Wilson Halstied. She died Saturday, November 1, 2003, in Waco. She grew up in Marietta and attended Douglass School where she was captain of the basketball team and graduated as salutatorian of the 1955 class. Shortly after graduation, Mrs. Foreman moved to Waco where she had made her home for the past 45 years. She and Clint W. Foreman III were married in 1966. She attended McLennan Community College and had worked as a visiting teacher for the Waco Independent School District for 27 years. Mrs. Foreman was a member of Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the choir. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, CaSaundra and Sheldon Harris of Waco; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie and Sue McCarroll of Langston, and Herculee and Yvonne McCarroll, Perry and Rebecca Halstied and Hayze Halstied, all of Marietta; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lovetta and Lewis Douglass, Dorothy and L.J. Lornes and Etta Halstied, all of Marietta, and Willie and Jobie Kirk of Ardmore; and two grandsons, Marquis Foreman and LaBraska Washington; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mrs. Foreman was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, LaBraska Halstied. Pallbearers were Willie Carl Anderson, Lester Douglass, Gary Halstied, Kevin Halstied, Delbert Hamilton and Frankie Lornes. Flower girls were Mrs. Foreman's nieces. Interment was in Prairieview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta. Source: Marietta Monitor, Love County, November 14, 2003, pg 4
