Mrs. Pool had made her home at Falconhead for the past two years, moving from Okeechobee, Florida. She married Charles W. Pool on November 11, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Mrs. Pool was a waitress and of the Episcopalian faith. Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Pool of the home at Falconhead; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mary Pool of Rapid City and Howard and Claudia Pool of Lake Worth, Florida; a daughter, Linda Axton of Okeechobee; a brother, Howard Hansen of West Palm Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of Norman and Jessie Horton Wilson. Mrs. Tapp had lived most of her life in Rubottom, moving to Marietta in 1981. She was a housewife and member of the Eastside Baptist Church, formerly a member of Rubottom Baptist Church. She married Shelby M. Tapp October 8, 1913, at Orr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Essie Tapp of Wilson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Almetia and Dennis Prince of Hominy and Elena and Clifford Harris of Marietta; a brother, David Wilson of Arizona; a sister, Dorothy Sellars of Salem, New Mexico; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tapp was preceded in death by her husband on July 6, 1980; a brother, a sister, two grandsons and two great-grand-sons. She was the daughter of John H. and Effie Carter Fitts. Mrs. Lemons worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone and General Telephone Company in excess of 50 years. She made her home in Denton from 1974 until 1994 and then returned to Gainesville. While living in Denton she was a member of the Opti-Mrs. Club and served as a Pink Lady at the Denton hospitals. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She and Jack Lemons were married in 1937. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sue Lemons of Whitesboro, Texas, and Johnny and Cathey Lemons of Gainesville; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Wayne Buchner of Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Many cousins, nieces and nephews survive on both the Fitts and Carter side of the family. Mrs. Lemons was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Lemons; and a brother, McLooney Fitts. She was a licensed vocational nurse nad worked at the Love County and Carter County Health Departments for several years. Mrs. Hendon was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church where she served as director and teacher of the Children's Sunday School Department for many years. She was also an American Legion Gold Star Mother. She married A.S. Hendon on December 21, 1930, at San Angelo, Texas. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Alice Jean and Carol Wayne Flanagan of Marietta; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Katherine and John Paul Johnson of Hartselle, Alabama; a brother, James F. Carter of Herndon, Virginia; grandchildren, Carolyn and Larry Gordon, Charlotte and Steve Creecy, Billy and Reba Flanagan, David and Mona Flanagan, Kevin and Michelle Flanagan, Mary and Leo Schinkle, Laura and Terry Nelson and William Hendon; four step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Hendon was preceded in death by her husband on December 25, 1975; a son, Major Billy Hendon on November 16, 1966; three sisters and one half-sister. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Dowlearn of the home; four sons, Alton Dowlearn and Rickey Dowlearn of Houston, Texas, Calvin Dowlearn of Yoakum, Texas, and Mike Dowlearn of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Sandra Pelleck of Yoakum and Peggy Arledge of Wilson; a sister, Anita Debord of Hallisville, Texas; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was educated in Norman and worked on his grandfather's dairy farm and with his father as teaming contractor. Mr. O'Haver then was employed in the oilfields and later served in the military during World War II. He was with the Army Corps of Engineers, serving in the Philippines and New Guinea. Mr. O'Haver was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. After his discharge from the service, he resumed an oilfield career, designing and patenting oilfield tools. Mr. O'Haver was also an auctioneer and raised many outstanding quarter horses, including the 1990 Champion Age Oklahoma Bred running mare Thanks Darlin. He married Velma Mason on February 28, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma O'Haver of the home; a daughter, Carolyn McAlister of Lumberton, Texas; two sons, William H. (Bill) O'Haver of Marietta and Dale L. O'Haver of Goliad, Texas; a brother, Malcolm P. O'Haver of Poteau; two sisters, Colleen O'Haver Blanton of Poteau and Helen Hohenberger of Lafayette, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. After she graduated from Catholic Highschool in Wichita, Kansas, she became an employee of Beechcraft Aircraft Company in their blueprint department. She married Paul Rosenhamer June 9, 1947, in Wichita, and they moved to Oklahoma City. A devoted homemaker and mother, she was very active in St. Charles Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She received the parish's "Woman of the Year" award from the Women's Club. Mrs. Rosenhamer was secretary for her husband's Allstate Insurance Agency in Oklahoma City. After his retirement they moved to Falconhead in 1985 and became members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ardmore. She is survived by her husband, Paul Rosenhamer of the home at Falconhead; two sons, Gary Rosenhamer of Edmond and John Rosenhamer of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Linda Paul of Gibsonville, North Carolina, and Angie Dawson of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Laverne Riedel of Wichita and James Riedel of Fresno, California; a sister, Maxine Mainzer of Wichita; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Interment services were in Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday conducted by Father Paul Galatin. Bearers were Steve Rosenhamer, Robert Rosenhamer, J. Leonard Vogt officiating. Mr. Smart was born June 25, 1915, in Thackerville, the son of Mary Jane Smart, and died March 18, 1995, at his home in Fairview. He began working for the Santa Fe Railroad in 1938, a vocation that he held for 40 years. The only interruption in this service was a tour of duty in France during World War II with the 73oth Army Railway Battalion. Mr. Smart met Pauline Epp in Fairview, and they were married June 17, 1947. They lived in both Kansas and Oklahoma before settling in Fairview. A longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, Mr. Smart became even more involved in organizations after his retirement in 1978. These included the American Legion, Shriners and the Senior Citizen Center. He was very active in these organizations until failing health restricted his activities. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Smart of the home in Fairview; two sons, Bill Smart of Enid and Mark Smart of Fairview; two daughters, Sherryl Plank of Enid and Diana Smart of Dallas, Texas; and five grandchildren. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Fairview Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers were Mark Smart, Bill Smart, Dan Plank, Derek Smart, Joe Johnson and David Epp. Honorary bearers included Nick Berry, Roy Crow, Udean Gaylord, Chet Payton, Vern Kinsey and Richard Wortman. I'm looking for the name of a town in Love County. The town is written in a family Bible and I can't make out the correct spelling. It looks like LAGATE or LEGATE, OK. Thanks

Mr. Haymes was a member of the Enville Community Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kenette Haymes of the home; two children, Jonette Rosemarie and Kenny Mark; father and stepmother, David and Madge Haymes of Hot Springs, Arkansas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Bette Shelton of Marietta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Pam Haymes and Matt and Nancy Haymes of Leon; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Randy Mitchell of Ardmore; a sister-in-law, Barbette Shelton of Enville; and eight nephews. Services were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home, Ardmore. Graveside services were conducted in the Leon Cemetery with Chuck Hartman, Johnny Hartman, Jr., Carl Loving, Roy Hartman, Jr., Steven Hicks and Dink Reed serving as casket bearers. A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Gipson worked at Leon Public Schools for 13 years as a janitor and bus driver. Prior to this he was employed by Love County District #2. Mr. Gipson married Dovie Ione Trimble on March 11, 1940, at Jimtown. He was a member of the Leon Baptist Church and of the I.O.O.F. and Masonic Lodges for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dovie Gipson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billie John and Peggy Gipson of Burneyville and Bennie George and Rebecca Gipson of Faxon; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Interment in the Leon Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
