Hi Bruce, Alot of my Mathews lived in Lincoln Co., Ok and still do. Note only one T. I do not find any of the names you mentioned. I can not trace back very far in my Mathews line either. My great grandmother was Emma Lee Mathews Skaggs Skaggs.(yes, she married two Skaggs) The second one was a half nephew to the first Her parents were Otho Gandy Mathews (born 1826 in Ohio or maybe Henry Co., MO) and Nancy Jane Major. I can not find Otho Gandy's parents. Emma was born in Missouri in 1863 and later lived around Grayson Co., Tx & Marshall Co, Ok Jim Skaggs Jim Skaggs
