I am researching two maternal family lines, both arrived in Lincoln Co. in 1893 from Kansas. Simon David DENNIS and Mary Caroline (DOUGHERTY) DENNIS lived outside Chandler until around 1910. Children were Badey Garland, James Millard, Tim Ray, Elva May (GREGORY), David Roy, Nora Belle (MACDOUGAL). Simon was widely known as "Dave", was active in county and state politics, serving as county commissioner before his death in 1908. William Thomas ALLEN and Sarah Adaline (BROWN) ALLEN lived in the Davenport area. She died around 1897. Children were Charles Monroe, Estella Margaret (KILGORE), Pearl Adaline (FOX), Thomas Lee, and Laura Ella (DENNIS). After Sarah's death Tom Allen married Esther BARNHART and they had one son, Pleasant E. Tom had brothers George Washington and Charles Henry who also settled in Lincoln Co. Sarah had brother Carrell M BROWN who lived in Lincoln Co also. Any information will be much appreciated. PJ Summers in WA State
