(The following article appeared in Shawnee Newspaper in August of 1921): W. S.( William Scott)  Boland of 212 North Luoisa street, Shawnee, OK died August 18, 1921, following a stroke of paralysis Sunday noon. Mr. Boland  was born in Rockmart (Polk Co.) GA  and was 72 years and four months old.  He leaves a wife and nine children, six of whom live in or near Shawnee, OK.   S. W. (Samuel William or Bill)  Boland has been here visiting his parents for the past two weeks from Alabama.  The date of the funeral has not yet been set, as a son is coming from Colorado Springs, and other relatives from Ada and Wetumka. Mr. Boland had lived in the area for 25 years.  He married to Sara Ida Woozencraft born 15 Oct 1847 in Rockmort GA.
