    1. [OKLINCOLN] Obit for James Lewis Getman - Stroud and Kendrick
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GETMAN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HaB.2ACI/399 Message Board Post: A few months ago, I requested a lookup for an obit for my gggrandfather, James Lewis Getman. He died Jan 25 1936 in Kendrick OK and is buried at the Black Cemetery near Stroud. In late July or August, I believe I received a reply to my query with the requested obit. I THINK I received it as just as I was beginning to read the message, my computer crashed and the message somehow floated off into cyberspace never to be retrieved. :( It's possible that the person who replied to my message was named Joanne or at least the name started with a J. If anyone did this lookup for me, please contact me directly. Alternatively, if anyone is able to do this lookup for me again, I would be most appreciative of the help. Thanks, Colleen Lill Canada

    3. Wanda, I checked the Cemetary listing and didnt see your surname in it, but that does not mean that she isnt buried there. I do have one long shot thought that came to mind when I read your querry. Are you positive that her name was Aslinger and not Anslinger? Anslinger is a common name and I have never ran across an Aslinger, but that is not to say that it is not valid. Many times census takers and other officials used sound to figure out spelling of names when the person could not write. Just a wild thought, but nothing is impossible in geneology, haha. I am related to the Davis family from there.
