Folks, I know so many of the McDonalds from the "olden" days. They were honest to a fault, but they were also honery in a joking manner. Never hurt a soul, and never turned down a needy person. And why this little ditty would remind me of them is because it is the kind of story they would tell. They loved to make others laugh at their wit. Bill, hehe I wonder if I should be Bill #2 ??? hehe > A couple of weeks after hearing a sermon on Psalms 51:2-4 (knowing my own > hidden secrets) and Psalms 52:3-4 (lie's and deceit), a man wrote the > following letter to the IRS. > > "I have been unable to sleep, knowing that I have cheated on my income tax. > I understated my taxable income, and have enclosed a check for $2,500.00. > > If I still can't sleep, I will send the rest".

To those who recieve this, please take time to scan it at least. The last statenent is from a distant relative of mine, so I feel a sense of urgency to forward it out. I get many of these that I do not bother you with, but please take time to scan this one. Bill, IHS Subject: Fwd: FW: be careful 'don't talk to strangers This was sent to me by a trusted friend and because the incident happened in Colo....it seems like a good idea to alert all my buddies... Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Loren Colbert"<[email protected]> From: Sally One of my daughter's co-workers had this happen to her in a Longmont Parking Lot. She didn't fall for the scam. Later, she got the following warning about it so I'm passing it on. Don't know if it's just Colorado or nationwide. What will these devious people think of next? Subject: be careful 'don't talk to strangers' I was approached yesterday afternoon around 3:30pm in the Walmart parking lot at University Drive (Peoria), by two males, asking what kind of perfume I was wearing. Then they asked if I'd like to sample some fabulous scent they were willing to sell me at a very reasonable rate. I probably would have agreed had I not received an email some weeks ago, warning of a "Wanna smell this neat perfume?" scam. The men continued to stand between parked cars, I guess to wait for someone else to hit on. I stopped a lady going towards them, pointed at them, and told her about how I was sent an e-mail at work about someone walking up to you at the malls or in parking lots, and asking you to SNIFF PERFUME that they are selling at a cheap price. THIS IS NOT PERFUME - ! IT IS ETHER! When you sniff it, you'll pass out. And they'll take your wallet, your valuables, do heaven knows what else. If it were not for this e-mail, I probably would have sniffed the "perfume". But thanks to the generosity of an emailing friend, I was spared whatever might have happened to me. I wanted to do the same for you. PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ALL YOUR WOMEN FRIENDS, AND PLEASE BE ALERT, AND AWARE!! IF YOU ARE A MAN AND RECEIVE THIS PASS IT ON TO YOUR WOMEN FRIENDS! Michelle R. Rogers - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - Ladies this happened to me yesterday and I didn't smell the perfume either thanks to this email! This is true! Believe me, I know! I was over by Big Lots in the parking lot in Bloomington at lunch time when I was approached. So either day or night, it does not matter. There were 3 guys together when I was approached. I called the police when I got back to my desk. Like the e-Mail says above, LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS. YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO-WORKERS, who ever. It helped me. The first thing that popped in my head was this eMail warning. Carolyn K. Calaway
God's EmbroideryDon, This is really a keeper. I love it. Thanks and it is on the way around the world, haha, Your brother in Christ, Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: Don Jones To: Undisclosed-Recipient:; Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2002 4:02 PM Subject: God's Embroidery God's Embroidery When I was little, my mother used to sew a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering. As from the underside I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, I complained to her that it sure looked messy from where I sat. She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "Son, you go about your playing for a while, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side." I would wonder why she was using some dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother's voice say, "Son, come and sit on my knee." This I did only to be surprised and thrilled to see a beautiful flower, or a sunset. I could not believe it, because from underneath it looked so messy. Then Mother would say to me, "My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing." Many times through the years I have looked up to heaven and said, "Father, what are You doing?" He has answered, "I am embroidering your life." I say, "But it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can't they all be bright?" The Father seems to tell me, "'My child, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side."

I believe that Sanfor's mother Barbara, and at least three younger siblings came with him to Oklahoma. Barbara is buried at Rossville Cemetery, Paralee married Fred Goddard in Lincoln Co Dec 12, 1912, and Loren married Pearl Godard May 5, 1915. Eliza married Fayette Goddard in 1916. Sanford's obituary in 1962 list his son Kenneth of Wellston, Jamesina Haggard and Shirley Stingley, both of Wellston, and Barbara Swenson of Sapulpa. Sanford had another sister Mary Ellen who may have stayed in AR, and also William. I would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family. Thanks Larry
