Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HaB.2ACI/486.1 Message Board Post: Dortha, several Lincoln County cemeteries are on-line, including Stroud where some of the Gamel family members are buried. You can type Lincoln County Oklahoma in your URL address line. It will bring up Lincoln County links, including the Lincoln County Genweb site. The Lincoln County Genweb site has a link to cemeteries. Here are the names included: Charles Shelby Gamel, 23 Nov 1922 - 13 Jan 1934 Fannie Gamel, 20 Oct 1883 - 28 Nov 1937 Charley D. Gamel, 9 June 1879 - 11 June 1960 Willard G. Gamel, 19 July 1914 - 19 Sept 1944. He is shown as a soldier in WW II. Was he perhaps killed during the war? I did not try to find the daughters whose married names you listed. Possibly others are buried in the Stroud Cemetery. With the exact date of Shelby's death, perhaps someone can find the news story.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HaB.2ACI/485.1.1 Message Board Post: Mary, Yes, I'm aware of the information on RootsWeb Family Trees. Thanks for trying to help. Was trying to find someone in Lincoln County who might tell me about the children of Nancy and Grant LYONS. I don't have easy access to later census records. Would have to order and read at my local library or subscribe to online census info. Sometimes that is also very limited. I have a lot of information on Jesse and Elizabeth OWEN SPARK's family. My sister-in-law, Clara Williams is their great grandaughter. Since my maiden name is OWENS, we had decided to work together to see what we could find. So far I haven't been able to connect my OWENS to the OWEN family that Elizabeth belonged to, even thought they both lived in Newton County, Arkansas. The OWENS family was from Ohio and Indiana and the OWEN family from Kentucky. Mine were late comers and the OWEN family were early settlers of Newton County.
