Surnames: CAMPBELL, MORGAN Classification: Biography Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HaB.2ACI/503 Message Board Post: C.M. MORGAN, M.D. Vol. 5, p. 1909 Successfully identified with the medical profession at Chandler since 1909, Doctor Morgan represents the high-class ability of the modern physician and surgeon, and furnishes a service of particular value to his home city in the Morgan Hospital, an institution which under his management has maintained the best standards of hospital equipment and operation. The hospital has its home in a substantial building, five private rooms, has all the modern facilities for comfort and for the appropriate care and treatment of its patients, and has skilled nurses in attendance. Doctor Morgan was born in Vinton County, Ohio, February 4, 1873. His father was a farmer, H. M. Morgan, a native of Pennsylvania, and the Morgan family in Pennsylvania dates back as far as 1662. The maiden name of the mother was Margaret HUGHES, a native of Ohio. She died in Ohio, leaving three children. The father is a democrat, and now lives at Oklahoma City. Doctor Morgan was liberally educated, and was graduated M.D. in 1906 from the University Medical College at Kansas City, Missouri. He first located for practice at Davenport, Oklahoma, and about three years later moved to Chandler, where he now enjoys a large share of the better practice in the locality. Doctor Morgan was married in 1913 to Harriet MCLAURY of this state. They have a daughter, Harriet Louella, now two years old. Doctor Morgan is a Knight Templar and thirty-second degree Mason, and the social qualities which have made him popular in that order have also made him a genial public spirited worker in his home community, where he is esteemed both for his professional standing and for his true work as a gentleman. Hello List-seeking a marriage lookup of James E Caves, married ? from 1916-1919 Thanks in advance. Melodee [email protected]
Hi List, I am hoping someone might be able to help me find the following person. I don't even know if she was in Lincoln or Payne County OK in 1910 but it's a good bet. Any help will be much appreciated. Her name is Mary Melicia Busch. She was born 1 Mar 1891 and died 19 Feb 1993. According to my cousin she married Reuben R Roley on 18 May 1907 in Chandler, (Lincoln), OK. She divorced him and married Joel C Bond on 30 May 1911 in Stillwater, (Payne), OK. Her third husband was Henry Joseph Kormeier and she married him 9 Sep 1934 in Weslaco, (Hidalgo), TX. This is what she looked like on the 1900 census. 29 Jun 1900, Cimarron Twp, (Payne), OK. 476-476 BUSCH, Edward, m, w, May 1855, 45, OH, farmer, married 23 yrs, Mary E, f, w, Jul 1856, 43, IN, 8 kids 6 alive, Michael, m, w, Nov 1881, 18, KS, John, m, w, Apr 1883, 17, KS, Frank, m, w, Jun 1885, 14, KS, Alice, f, w, Jul 1887, 12, KS, Mary, f, w, Mar 1889, 12, KS (Page 39a). You'll note that her mother listed her as being born Jul 1887. Now I was able to find her on the 1920 census and here is her info. 14 Jan 1920, Cimarron Twp (Payne), OK. 53-53 BUSCH, Michael E, m, w, 38, KS/MO/IN, farm labor, FERRIS, Mike, brother, m, w, 24, US, farm labor, Mary M, sister, f, w, 27, KS/MO/IN, George E, son, m, w, 11, KS/US/IN (Page 185-5). Now she is listed as being married to a Mike Berris. This name is new to my cousin but I am sure it's her. According to my cousin George E was the son of her first husband and was latter adopted by her second husband. I was able to find her on the 1930 census. 12 Apr 1930 Precinct #7, Weslaco, (Hidalgo), TX. 50-50 BOND, Mary Ellen, f, w, 38, KS, widow, married at 16, WALCK, Rose Mary, niece, f, w, 23, KS, single, BOND, George E, son, m, w, 21, KS/KS/KS (Page 53-8). I know that Rose Mary Walck is her cousin so am sure this is her. If any one can help me find her in 1910 it sure would be appreciated. I will continue to review the census but doing it on line I might miss it. I have looked at these counties many times but no luck so far. Take Care, Jim Smith, Collinsville, IL

Surnames: Moore, Andrews Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HaB.2ACI/497.1 Message Board Post: Hello Ada! I've looked for your info and I'll keep looking in hopes of helping you out! as far as marriage records go in this wonderful state of Oklahoma; you have to know the county they were married in and go to the county seat to search the records; it's a shame I know; some states you can write to the entire state (like California and Indiana) and find out from one source for the entire state whether someone was married there or not. But not in Oklahoma. I checked with the Historical Society in OKC just to make sure and they confirmed it. So if you have any idea where they may have been married I can get you the address and phone number for that county and post it for you. Hope this helps and let me know~ Have a great weekend! Sherry
