    2. I am looking for a relative by the name of Lecompton Taylor. He is the brother of my great-great grandfather, William Henry Taylor. In 1901, Lecompton was in Oklahoma when his father, Isham Cotton Taylor, passed away. I was told that he had a ranch near Rossville, Oklahoma. He was born about 1856-1857. William Henry Taylor was a US Marshal in the Territories and was married in Lydia, Oklahoma. Does anyone have any info on Lecompton or where I might find further information about William Henry Taylor's service record? You can e-mail me at taylorla@qwest.net. 2. Morgan Thank you so much for the marriage info on Anna Laura Robertson and her husband Chester Trask! I was very happy to find out who and where she was married! I did make an error in typing her mother's name. It should have been Amelia Jeanette McGuire----NOT Anna Laura McGuire. Is there a place that I should correct that error? Thanks again for all your help. Phyllis

    1. [OKLINCOLN] Re: Key Family
    2. Thank you for your encouragement! I have been blessed with some open doors (finally) just in the last week. The SSDI had my great granduncle Andrew Key from Chandler, OK. I was delighted to receive a copy of the original application this week. That one connecting piece has given me much information on this family, which came out of Crawford County, Missouri and Virginia before that. The family lineage goes back to Samuel - Jeremiah-Obadiah-Elijah-Price-John. Hope you have similar open doors in your search!

    1. [OKLINCOLN] Old Photograph Album
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph album which once belonged in the MCADAMS Family. The album includes 26 photographs/funeral notices, including 4 which include identification. Those are as follows: Inscription in the front of the album - "Presented to me by school, May 26, 1899, Westphalia, Kansas, W.W. MCADAMS" #1 - Photograph of a young female taken at the J.W. Ard Studio in Mulhall, Oklahoma. On the back is written the name Scipio WADE. The photo was likely taken in the 1880's or 1890's and the subject appears to be about 20 years of age at the time. I believe this may be a photograph of Margaret MCADAMS of Kansas who married Scipio WADE of Kansas in 1890. Two other photographs in the album appear to be of this same woman, one with an infant and one with a toddler. #2 - Photograph of Frank H. CHILDS taken at the H.C. Chaufty Studio in Stroud, Oklahoma Territory. On the back of the photograph someone has written Melrose, New Mex 1/5-09. The photo was taken sometime before 1907 since Oklahoma became a state that year. The subject appears to be about 50 years of age at the time the photo was taken. #3 - Funeral Notice for Myrl BOONE who died 9 Nov 1898, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William BOONE, age 2 years and 5 months. #4 - Funeral Notice for Mrs. Cynthie R. BOWMAN wife of A.F. BOWMAN, age 56 years, 8 months, and 18 days, died 17 Sept. 1888 at Independence, Kansas. In addition to these items the album also contains: 3 Photographs of the same man at various times in his life, the first taken at the Hahn Studio in Fort Scott, Kansas. I believe these may be photographs of W.W. MCADAMS who originally owned the album, and there is an obvious resemblance to the woman who I believe to be Margaret MCADAMS so I'm wondering if they are siblings. The other photographs all unidentified come from: Garnett, Kansas Leonadville, Kansas Minneapolis, Kansas Richmond, Kansas Girard, Illinois Tacoma, Washington A group of the photographs are small tin types including some of the same people in more than one photograph. A couple of the photographs are on Postcard stock however they contain no clue as to location. I'm hoping that someone from these families can be located so that the album can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of one of these families or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. [OKLINCOLN] Tennyson/Tennison
    2. I really, really do need some help. My mother was adopted; she is deceased. I am looking for her mother. Her name was Ida Tennyson. All I know about my grandmother is that she was born circa 1892 in Okla. It is believed that she was part Indian. Her parents are believed to have come from N.C., but that is not certain. I have not found anything on Ida anywhere, so it is my belief that she had another name she was going by, perhaps a middle name. At one time Ida was for certain living in the Okemah (Okfuskee Co.) area of Okla., but I believe her family may have been in other counties adjacent to this such as Lincoln (particularly eastern part). Is there any way you have of checking your ancestry and see if you have a lady born in the time frame of 1892 (or close to this date) If not, do you know of anyone else who might be able to help me. I have a genetic disease and it is important that I find where it came from. I thank you in advance for your help. Rose Mary

    1. [OKLINCOLN] Renner and Stinson's in Lincoln County
    2. My father's family is from Stroud and Chandler. I am looking for any information on the Stinson and Renner families that lived there from about 1892. That's when the Renner's bought a farm. I found the land record for it. The land was in Caroline Renner's name because her husband, Simon did not read or write English. I was wondering if anyone may have information on either of the families? I am looking for an Olli Stinson b. 5/10/1900 m. Mabel McMillon or McMillan. They were my Ggrandparents. Thanks in advance, Lori Stinson lstinson76@aol.com
