    1. [OKLINCOLN] Regarding Oklahoma cemetery Mailing List Home Page
    2. Kathleen Burnett
    3. Dear List Members, I received a message from Tammie Chada, Web Mistress of the Oklahoma Cemetery Mailing List Home Page letting me know that she is running behind in uploading information which has been sent to her, due to her mother's illness. She has on her desk waiting to be upload as of this date, about 2 cemeteries, 10-20 obits and over 5000 tombstone photos. If your data is not on the site, check back in a couple of weeks. If you have a concern that she has not received the information you sent for the Oklahoma Cemetery Mailing List Home Page, let me know at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net and I will check and see. I appreciate all the hard work that Tammie is putting into this site. I feel that Oklahoma researchers have one of the best Cemetery Sites on the internet. I also appreciate all of the volunteers surveying cemeteries, taking photos, sending their links. It is because of this willingness to share that Tammie is able to produce the quality of site that she has for us. If you have a survey that you are working on, or know of a survey which has been completed and know who owns it we would love to hear from you. We also would love to have you share any photos you have of Oklahoma tombstones and or cemeteries and Oklahoma Obits. You can contact me regarding these items at KathleenBurnett@earthlink.net. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HaB.2ACI/72.1 Message Board Post: Larry, I don't know if you ever found your folks or not. I believe the Lutheran Cemetery information is probably online. (It will be under Lutheran Cemetery, not under Captain Creek, as Captain Creek designates one of the creeks down there, and also a community around one of the old country schoolhouses.) If you don't find what you are looking for online, I would suggest calling the Lutheran Church in Wellston, OK and they can most likely give you the name of someone who has a list of those interred there. I am not familiar with the funeral home you mentioned, and no time frame is mentioned, so I don't know if it is a long ago business, or one that is simply in a different area. If it is from long ago, then the funeral home may have the cemetery listed as the German Cemetery. If it is a modern day business, then you might look in some of the surrounding communities. I don't recognize it as a Wellston business name. Perhaps it is for one of the communities to the south of the Captain Creek area. Good Luck & let me know if you've found your folks. Annie
