I have added about 27 pictures to my Lawson and associated families. There is no way I can completely separate the other families. You go and read who married who and who is the grandson of who and you will see why you can't find your relatives. They are so intermarried in the early years it would take a rocket scientist to figure it out. http://www.geocities.com/fcruble/velmasfamilygenealogy.html

Hi all, PJ Summers here. I have enjoyed your posts and figured it's about time to add my own. My Lincoln Co families arrived at the Kickapoo opening or shortly thereafter, to the Chandler and Davenport areas. On one side I have the family of Simon David and Mary Caroline (Dougherty) DENNIS, migrating from Montgomery Co KS in 1891. Children were Elva (WH STALEY, George GREGORY), Nora (FW McGREGOR), James Millard (m Blanche?), Garland (m Nora FEAGIN), David Roy (m Bessie BRADY) and Tim Ray (m Laura ALLEN. Simon David, known as "Dave" was very active in county politics from 1896 til his death in 1908, serving two terms as county commissioner for the 3rd district. On the other side there is the family of William Thomas "Tom" and Sarah Adaline BROWN, who also migrated from Kansas and settled in the Davenport/Stroud area. Children surviving past childhood were Estella (m Robert KILGORE), Pearl (m Ed FOX), Lee (m Mamie), Charles (m?) and Laura (m Tim Dennis--my grandparents). Sarah died in 1897 and Tom remarried Hester BARNHART and together they had one son, Pleasant "Plez". I would love to hear from anyone who sees these surnames turning up in their databases...and am keenly interested in history and anecdotes of Lincoln County. Happy holidays! PJ
In the Lincoln County Okla. History there is a story written by Vivian Vanderpool on Ella (Davis)Wilson. and mentions a son H.D. There is the surname Arwood but no Arrowood. http://www.geocities.com/fcruble/velmasfamilygenealogy.html ----- Original Message ----- From: <BBrock1945@aol.com> To: <OKLINCOL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 17, 2000 8:03 PM Subject: [OKLINCOLN] Lincoln County > Hello List, > I am searching for ANY information on the Surnames ARROWOOD, VANDERPOOL and > FOUNTAIN. > George W. Hello List, I am searching for ANY information on the Surnames ARROWOOD, VANDERPOOL and FOUNTAIN. George W. Arrowood and wife Milly were original landowners in Lincoln Co., North Creek Twp. Later they moved to Stroud from Sac and Fox Agency. I believe that the mother of Milly, Rebecca Barnes Vanderpool may have been living with them. They were reportedly buried at the Sac and Fox Agency. Does anyone know of where that might be - the name of the cemetery and how it could be contacted? Any information on these families and/or the cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Brenda in Kansas bbrock1945@aol.com

Dear List Members, I am going to leave in the morning, November 15th, for 5 days. I will be attending a Manager's Retreat for my company and will be home this coming Sunday evening. I have way to many lists to find List sitters for them, so I need to ask a favor from each of you. If anything happens on your list which is out of line and against our list rules, not matter what, PLEASE let it pass and just delete it. Know that each evening I will be checking on things from my hotel room and will take care of any problem that happened during the day. I know sometimes it is hard to not say something, but it would help me a great deal if you would just let the offense pass. One more item, if you are needing me to help you unsubscribe, be understanding if I don't respond as quickly as I try to. I will only be near the computer in the evenings in my hotel room. Sending the message more than once to the entire list will not help. I appreciate each of you and all that you do to help my life as your List Mom to run as smoothly as it does. See you on Sunday. Dear List Members, We are adding a section on Ghosts Towns to the OK-Cemetery Volunteer and Cemetery Inventory website http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcemete/okcem.htm If you know of a Ghost Town, have picture and or directions to one and or descriptions of one, links giving information or know of a graveyard in or near a ghost town of Oklahoma, I would appreciate it if you would share it with us. If you have not had a chance to visit the OK-Cemeteries Volunteer and Cemetery Inventory site, you should. The Web Mistress is adding cemeteries that have been shared with us along with many pictures of tombstones as fast as she can. I would suggest that you come back often, the amount of information waiting to be put on the site is more than equal to what is on it already there. Kathleen Burnett List Mom
