Mildred, The below is part of the imformation on Dennis Billy written in my grandfather's book, "History of LeFlore County". If these might be your Billy ancestors I will type the remainder of the section. There are several more names and Dennis was in the movie "Duel in the Sun". CeCe "Howe is the only town in LeFlore County that has produced a movie star employed in some of the leading screen pictures of the last two decades. Dennis Billy, a half breed Choctaw was born in Howe at the turn of the century. His father, the noted Simeon Billy, a full blood, emigrated from Mississippi in 1840. He died in 1945 at the age of 105 and is buried in the Glendale Cemetery near Howe." ----- Original Message ----- From: "mildred Tatum" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 1:17 AM Subject: [OKLEFLORE] Info > Anyone with info on the Billy family that > lived in the Howe area > Email me, Thanks > Milded > > > ==== OKLEFLOR Mailing List ==== > Oklahoma Cemeteries > http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/cemetery/cemetery.htm >
