Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Parkâs Hillside Garden. Mrs. Spradling, 87, of Corning, Calif., formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Thursday (June 20, 2002) at Brentwood Convalescent Hospital in Red Bluff, Calif. She was born July 13, 1914, in Summerfield, Okla. Her family moved to Oregon in 1945 and lived in Klamath Falls, Medford and Central Point. In 1934, she married Robert Floyd Spradling, who died in 1988. She moved to Corning in 1998. During World War II, Mrs. Spradling was a riveter for Spartan Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla. She worked for Bear Creek Orchards for 23 years. Survivors include a son, Bud, Central Point; two daughters, Melba Mapes, Corning, and Jane Slye, Federal Way, Wash.; two sisters, Lorene Gallegly, Dallas, Texas, and Ona Hand, in Mississippi; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.
