Juanita, Look for Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation, and it will list the different townships. Juanita - often forgotten fact... in 1900 what is now Oklahoma had 2 separate census. The 1900 Indian Territory census (generally the eastern half of Oklahoma) AND the 1900 Oklahoma Territory census (generally the western half of Oklahoma.) Map at http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/maps/images/ok1900xp.gif is a good visual reference. I don't have Ancestry access but have the PVGS 1900 census books. The Sylus listed seems likely match. My Dear Dear Juanita, I've just arrived home from home around Glendale and ran across this email. (I have so many since being away for the holidays so will try to catch up within the next day or three.) Anyway, Oklahoma became a state in 1907, but before that for several years Leflore County was included in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory.
