Donna I could not find a Mary Tyler in the cemetery books for Cowlington. I could not find John C. Butler in any of the cemetery books for the Talihina area. Sorry Tom S PVGS
Tom, Thanks so much for looking for me. I did find that Mary M. Tyler was buried in Short Mountain Cemetery on her OK death cert I received last week... I don't know what to think about John Butler. He may be an unmarked grave. John and Mary evidently had several children. In 1910 census she said she had 8 children with 3 living. She had already lost a dau. by that time, so that accounted for 2 others that we have knowledge of and 1 that is unknown. Mary told her dau. by the first marriage, Alice Horton, that there was some sort of disaster in Indian Territory that killed several of her children. I have yet to discover what that was. Probably most of those children would have been Butler's. It was before she married TYLER. She only had one child with him. Mary married HORTON in 1869, BUTLER in 1875 & TYLER in 1889. Thanks again for all your help. If someone would look in cemetery books for me for Alice Smith, born c1817 and Jesse Smith born c1814, I certainly would appreciate your help. Alice was living with sons Henry M., Martin B., Isaac H. and Leonard 1870 census for Center Twp @ Greenwood,, Sebastian County AR but son John Wesley is in 1900 census [email protected] Cameron. John Wesley and some others are buried @ Hackett but unable to locate Alice and Jesse plus date of death. Many thanks for any help.
