Can any one on the list tell me what the name of the funeral home that would have taken care of the arraignments for the people being buried in the Muse Cemetery, in 1920-1921 was (address, so I can write them) and can anyone tell me what the name of the newspaper, that would have contained the obituaries for that area, in 1920-1921 was? The Muse area, I have been told, was called Pine Valley back then. My family that was there then, whom I am researching, was Revis/ or Reavis, Murphree, Miller. I am also interested in the connecting families, Cogburn, Pugh, Golden, Ward, My great great grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Reavis,( also went by Tom Revis,) and his wife, Luina K. Murphree, died and are buried in the Muse cemetery. But I do not have the exact dates of death, they do not appear to have headstones. Also-Tom was put into a hospital/ asylum, escaped, and was found froze to death. I am trying to get a record, or newspaper article, detailing what happened. The closest hospital of this type is outside of Vinita. I have written them, but the web site for them states that they do not release medical information, unless you have a court order, even on deceased patients. This is why I would like to write the funeral home and the newspaper, if they still exist. If there is someone on the list, related to any of the above names, who had family in this area during that time, I would like to exchange information with you. Sincerely- Sandy [email protected]
