He married Mary Rebecca Walden in Polk Co., AR on 06 Jan , 1889. Rebecca's parents were John M. Walden, and Nancy Mary Young. Nancy's mother, Millie Thompson, was the daughter of John Thompson Sr. and Ahneswakie or Arrisnwakie, a full blood Cherokee Indian. Sidney Brockham and Mary Rebecca Walden's children were: Maysel Dixie Jeffie Georgia, my ggrandmother. Georgia married Goerge Washington Daws (dawes), son of Joel Daws (Dawses). Mary died very young, possibibly of thyphoid fever. Sidney went to prison for "moonshining". Sidney and his daughters are found on the 1910 Leflore Co. OK, Summerfield township census records. I can't find him in 1920, so I assume he died between 1910 and 1920. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I am trying desperately to prove the Indian Heritage.
