Sandy Tom has access to all the books of Leflore Co. and is very knowledgeable on that area. The best I remember Muse was just a tiny community on past Heavener area, but I have been gone from that area a long time. I looked in my Heavener funeral book. Dowden recods. The was no McCartney there. They either didn't have headstones, or was maybe buried over in Ar. its right beside these areas If you would give the first names of some of the others you listed, we might find them, I seen several of the last names in census & cemeteries books Mildred
Thomas Jefferson Reavis, also went by Tom Revis, his wife was Luina K.(he maiden name was Murphree) Cousin Debbie Ward just e-mailed me, and said that he had to have died after 1920, because he was on a 1920 census with his son Jesse's family. She said that they could have died any time between 1920-1926. I asked if she was sure they were buried in the Muse Cemetery, and she said that her mom's sister, who is in her 80s, said that yes, they were there, but that they just had "markers"--what is a marker? Thank you so much- Sandy [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "mildred Tatum" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 31, 2002 9:06 PM Subject: [OKLEFLORE] Your family > Sandy > Tom has access to all the books of Leflore > Co. and is very knowledgeable on that area. > The best I remember Muse was just a tiny > community on past Heavener area, but I > have been gone from that area a long time. > I looked in my Heavener funeral book. > Dowden recods.
