    3. The Native American site I submitted earlier includes pages that can be searched to discover the enrollee's name, age, sex, blood degree, type, census card number and roll number, which makes it easier to use NARA's search engine. The last time I checked the below NARA site, the Choctaw applications had not yet been described in NAIL -- but both sites are good ones to search. http://www.archives.gov/research_room/nail/search_hints_for_genealogy.html#final Currently, NAIL contains limited genealogical data, particularly: 1. descriptions of 64,177 Cherokee, Chickasaw, Creek, and Sminole applications for enrollment to the Five Civilized Tribes (Dawes Commission) between 1898 and 1914. Please note 10,874 of the 64,177 application descriptions have digital copies attached to them. Many of the descriptions share the same digitized image(s)). The Choctaw applications have not yet been described in NAIL. 3. Try this one: http://www.surnameweb.org/ and then click on Native American Genealogy on the list that is on the right side, then scroll down to the Final Rolls of the Five Civilized Tribes or one of the other selections. Good luck. Peggy [email protected] wrote: > Hello- I tried the web address ab]nd couldnt get tothe page. I am looking > for information on Joe James. 3. I'm trying to find out more information about a rodeo that would have happened around Heavener/Howe/Poteau area that would have happened between 1930 to 1950. From what I understand a bull was supposed to have gotten out of the arena and toured town before it was caught. If anyone has information about this, I'd really appreciate it. 1. [OKLEFLORE] LeFlore Co/Howe Twp/Cemeteries
    2. I am working on a Harris family history. My grandfather's oldest sister, Sarah Frances "Fanny" (Harris) Dunn, was widowed and living in LeFlore Co. on the 1920 census. She was listed with a son, Jesse Dunn, and family--it appeared to be in Howe Township. I am wondering if she might have died and been buried in the area. Fanny and husband, Jasper Dunn, were in Pittsburg Co. in 1910. Jasper might have died in either county. Have any cemeteries in Howe Township been transcribed. Please respond to me at [email protected] Thanks for any assistance. Ellen M.
