First let me introduce myself. My name is Jerry Mellinger and I just moved to Las Vegas from Maui. In doing so I have started to research my mothers family. Her madien name was Etta Hazel Weesner. She was born in 1901 in Blackwell and lived there for some time with her father Nathan Weesner and mother Nellie E Weesner (nee Farrah). She had a brother named Floyd and a sister named Ola I believe. Nellie is buried in Braman Cemetery as well as a number of the Farrah family. I believe Nathen got remarried after Nellie died.Ola appears to have died after giving birth to two children named Leslie and Ola Goulden/Golden. I could use some help from there. I am trying to locate any of the members of the FARRAH/WEESNER/GOULDEN families. The more immediate the better. I know thats basicially what we all want. In addition I found out today that Nathan is listed in the " Rooted In The Past " book about Kay County, Pg 731,. I have sent away for a copy of the section but ofcourse like any novice at this stuff the wait is going to kill me.<g> If anyone has a copy of this book and would be willing to share the basics of what is there ie: Was he a bandit, a humanitarian, or is it a marriage announcement to his second wife as I suspect. I would really appreciate knowing as soon as I can. In any case thanks for reading this far and hope to be talking to you all real soon.
