    3. Jim - I have the Kay Co, Ok Cemetery Inscriptions as of 1978 and can look for whoever you are interested in. There are two cemeteries not far north of Newkirk - the Newkirk city one, and the Washunga (Kaw Indians, cemetery moved across from the city one). Also, further north, almost at Kansas line, and near the railroad, is the Chilocco Cemetery. However in the book, it advises there was a smallpox epidemic in the 1880s - many died, including at the Indian community, and over 50 people are buried in the cemetery. The Alumni Assoc put up markers, but no names.
