    3. Oh My Gosh - have I ever missed my E-mail friends and cousins!!! I alerted some of you early on - but here is the story. Early in May my computer got two virus - really bad ones. I had to shut down completely and have not been on line until last night about 10:30. The computer had been in the shop twice. Then had to contact my server to get back connected. Pulled in 537 MESSAGES. As you might guess, I spent a couple of hours deleting - deleting - deleting. All jokes, advertisements, sayings, etc had to go. If you wrote me an actual letter - I will try to get back to you soon (but will be out of town the 18th & 19th to my 50th Class Reunion at El Dorado Springs). Also will try to answer look-up requests that accumulated. In May we went to the Ozarks of Missouri for my 50th Class Reunion - as a guest ex-member, since we moved my Freshman year. Had a great time visiting with classmates, and with cousins. Got to West Plains one day to the Court House, and another day to the Genealogy Library, and have some new stuff to share. We were camped in a lovely area, halfway between Willow Springs and Mt View. Only problem, they ticks were BAD. Had to do body searches on me and our two little furry dogs constantly. Next, moved on to El Dorado Springs, Mo to visit with my sister, her family, and with other schoolmates and relatives. Again we were camped in a wooded area, about 12 miles from El Do, and again the ticks were terrible. And of course, I had to walk the dogs several times each day. We had been there a few days, when on a Sunday I felt poorly. Got a doctors name from sister Sandy (who is a nurse), and Monday morning arranged for a 1:00 appointment. The next two days are a blur - I was moved to hospital, ex-rays taken, IV started, etc, and I don't remember any of it. Had a high fever, no appetite, lethargic, etc. The doctor there, and my own doctor here in Wichita never did determine exactly what it was. Some kind of respiratory problem. They tested for Lyme and Rocky Mountain fever due to the problem with the ticks - both came back negative. I am much better, but not back to par. Did regain my appetite, unfortunately. My theory is - I caught the virus from my computer!! After returning to Wichita neither of us felt like much unpacking - and actually did not want to bring much out, like bedding, that might still have ticks. Lews lungs had become worse again, causing his legs to swell, so he is back on water pills, and has a permanent residence in the bathroom. Just a few days ago, daughter Linda and I did a huge laundry at the Laundromat, where we could use 5 washers at one time. And I ended up with a hole in my ankle. Thought sure it was from a brown recluse spider, but the consensus of my sister, daughter Linda, and the doctor, is that I got a bed pressure point during those first days when I wasn't "there". So that is why I just now have the computer up and running, and have a lot of catching up to do. I'm back to taking Ivory and Ebony to the pasture at Marilyn's to play with her dozen rescue Eskies - but they won't let me mow yet. Also didn't drive for awhile as my mind was blurry, and reactions slow.
