    3. According to my father-in-law, Max E. Rogers, who was born and raised in Blackwell; the Leslie Sanitarium was mainly a doctors office which also had hospital beds. My father in law had his tonsils out at the Leslie Sanitarium in the 1920's. By the 1950's, it had become the Ball Clinic when Dr. Ball took it over. Today, it is no longer in clinical use and is a large house with an extension on it. It was not an asylum. > -----Original Message----- > From: penny peace [mailto:PENNYPEACE@prodigy.net] > Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2000 1:19 PM > To: OKKAY-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [OKKAY] LESLIE SANITARIUM - Blackwell OK - 1929 > > > could anyone on the list help with info on the Leslie Sanitarium which > existed in Blackwell OK in 1929.
