I am researching Claude MEEKS who died in Tonkawa August 1985. Does anyone have access to an Obit or death certificate on him? Also, my family history says my great grandfather, Charles Anthony CONNER (name changed from O'Connor) was a sheriff in Tonkawa. This probably would have been somewhere between 1895-1925. Charley and his wife, Laura, lived on a farm just outside of Lamont with their children, Lial, Viola, Leila, Dewey, Orville and Alice. I can't find anything to substantiate Grandpa being a sheriff.
