Listers - you are invited to visit my new web site, which is basically letters received by my Great-Grandpa David Ferguson of Willow Springs, Howell Co, Mo, in the late 1890s and early 1900s. These letters give more insight into life in those times. I have transcribed them verbatim, spelling as is (very few people received more than a few years of education), and left the lack of punctuation, except to add periods for more ease in reading. These letters, postcards and pictures were received from friends, relatives and acquaintances from Cassville and Advance, Missouri; Kingfisher, Oklahoma; California; Colorado; Mt Auburn and Prairie Du Rocher, Illinois; Tacoma, Washington, and more. Some names are Tilly, Palmer, Hogan, Collins, Shane, Cochran, Vandandaique, White, Young, etc. Also included are about 30 pictures, with another dozen pending, and lists - from school programs, road overseer workers and/or living on a road and owing money. The site is still a work in progress, and does not yet include a Guestbook, but I would appreciate any suggestions and/or comments.
